Hello Everyone!
It’s a leap day! I completely forgot that this year was an extra day long, so I’m not doing much to celebrate. What are you spending your extra day doing?
This week’s book for Black History Month is The Last Stop on Market Street, which is illustrated by Christian Robinson. It’s a story about appreciating the small things, and also about riding public transportation, which isn’t super common around here.
Our next story time is next Thursday from 10:45 to 11:45am.
I will be changing up my hours some, so I will only be here in the mornings on Thursdays. However, I will be here every night except Tuesday nights. Stop by and say hello! We’re now open until 6pm!
The March Children’s events are out today! We’ll be starting up March craft kits on March 4th and they will be available all month! The main themes will be Spring and Saint Patrick’s Day, with other crafts occasionally thrown in.
We have a greater variety of events this month, so be sure to check them out! Some highlights include our Saint Patrick’s Day celebration on March 15th, an information session about the Eclipse in April on March 27th, and a “movie” event on March 30th (We’ll be watching a movie’s worth of old Scooby Doo episodes)
Hope to see you at the library!
Kaitlyn
