Hello Everyone!
This week’s book for Black History Month is Choosing Brave: How Mamie Till-Mobley and Emmett Till Sparked the Civil Rights Movement by Angela Joy. The author’s website recommends the book for children ages 8-12. It is very poetic and informative (it also includes a section at the back with more information for parents to read) and I learned a lot from it!
Next week we will have Movie Night on Wednesday from 5:30-7 pm! Bring a water bottle and a blanket if you would like and watch a movie at the library! We’ll even have popcorn! Parents, please remain with your children at all times during the movie.
Next week’s story time will be Thursday, from 10:45-11:45 am. Stop by if you can for stories, crafts, toys, and friends!
Next week is also the last week of February crafts! I will make the last batch of them on Thursday (if necessary), and then they are gone when they are gone. But we’ll be starting up March crafts on March 4th, so there will be a whole new batch to enjoy!
March events will be coming out next week as well!
Hope to see you at the library!
Kaitlyn
