Hello Everyone!
I can’t believe it’s almost January already! I haven’t even started thinking about a New Year’s resolution yet. What I have done is finished the event calendar for January! We’ve got a bunch of fun activities planned for everyone! As always, if anyone has any questions, feel free to email me.
We have some new books ready just in time to check out for the holiday season! We have a variety of new juvenile fiction, covering topics from mysterious libraries to surviving drought. I am very excited about the Ultimate Star Wars book; it’s packed with information for people who want to learn more about the Star Wars universe, and may be useful for a future library event!
We have six new children’s books (two of which are already checked out!) I really like Berry Song by Michaela Goade because it reminds me of when I used to pick berries with my grandmother as a kid (and I didn’t know there were so many types of berries!), but all the books are excellent! What is your favorite?
For this week’s story time, we read The Perfect Tree by Chloe Bonfield, which has really interesting art! Some of the objects in the story look like they were made with pages from other books, and you can see the words still. After we finished reading, we switched things up and did some puzzles.
Gordon-Nash Library will be closed from December 23rd to December 27th for the holidays and on January 1st for New Year’s Day. We will still have story time on December 28th. Stop by if you’re available!
Hope to see you at the library!
Kaitlyn
