Hello Everyone!
December is going by so fast! And we lost all our snow already! If we all think very cold thoughts, it might come back. Maybe. That’s how weather works, right?
This week we read Wolfie the Bunny by Ame Dyckman and Help! We Need a Title! By Hervé Tullet during story time and made our own book covers (with and without titles)! One ambitious kid even wrote an entire book about Spiderman!
The Puppet Theater Extravaganza quickly broke free from the theater and evolved into a whole room affair. There were many rabbits auditioning for plays, an owl who learned that rabbits are friends, not food, a paper monster who brought surprises to his friends, and a frog who couldn’t jump very high. It was quite the adventure! I’m hoping to run this program again in the next couple of months.
The library is closed from the 23rd to the 27th of December for the holidays.
We will have story time on the 21st and the 28th at 10:45 am and will be ready with more books and crafts for anyone who wants to come!
We will also have an All Ages Writing Group meeting on the 21st from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. We do not assign homework in the Writing Group, we promise. The event is about having fun and being creative in any way you want!
Hope to see you at the library!
Kaitlyn
