Hello everyone!
It’s already the end of November. Thanksgiving has come and gone, but another holiday season, full of more food, awaits.
For this week’s story time we read Hot Dog by Doug Salati, as a reminder that warm weather will return, and Papa Bear’s Page Fright by Wade Bradford (I have no explanation for choosing this book besides that it is amusing). We colored paper dogs with extendable bodies, so they can stretch out and better reach food from the table. It is fortunate that paper dogs only eat glitter.
There will be no story time on December 7th (next week).
Our events for December are out and attached to this email! I will be providing more information about events as they approach. If you have any questions, please let me know!
Throughout most of December, we will be having an Ugly Sweater Design Contest! Draw a simple outline of a shirt, or use the template I will email out next week, and go to town with any art supplies you have on hand. We will accept submissions until the library closes on December 15th. To submit, give your ugly sweater to the front desk and fill out a form with the creator’s name and what age group they belong to. Library patrons will then vote for their favorite in each age group. The most popular sweater in each age group wins! Wins what, you might ask? Well, that’s a secret.
Hope to see you at the library!
Kaitlyn Gable
