Hello Everyone!
This email is a few days late, but that’s because the May events calendar is out today! We’ll continue to supply crafts all month, and we’ll also be having a Surprise Book Display, where you can pick out an unknown book based on its genre and age level. It’s a fun way to find a new favorite book!
We will have Mother’s Day crafts on Thursday, May 9th for anyone who isn’t sure what they want to make as a gift. Saturday, May 11th and Saturday, May 18th will be additional story times! But this time I will take book requests! (Within reason, of course). And finally, the week of Monday, May 20th we will have a new craft set up every day in the children’s room, so stop by and make some art!
For this week’s story time, we made snails out of paper cups and pipe cleaners! They came out super well! All you need is a small paper cup and a pipe cleaner bent into a “y” shape. Then you poke the end of the pipe cleaner through both sides of the cup to create the snail’s head and tail. To finish, color the tips of the “y” with a black marker to make eyes!
Our next story time is tomorrow from 10:15 to 11:15!
