Hello Everyone!
I can’t believe the Olympics are over! I feel like the second week of them always goes by way too fast. What sports do you like to watch? I mainly watch archery and skateboarding. I understand nothing about skateboarding, so I just nod along and pretend I do.
Join us next Tuesday, August 13 at 6:30pm and see if you can create a boat using supplies provided by the library! How long can your boat float for? The people who create the three best boat designs will receive prizes! Please register using this link: https://forms.gle/45foEN9UFSNBgj61A
The end of Summer Reading approaches. On Tuesday, August 20 at 6:30pm, we will have ice cream and a small prize for all summer reading participants. Please bring an ice cream topping if you are able! We will also have additional prizes for the nine children who read the most!
Though the ceremony is August 20, we will stop accepting reading logs Saturday, August 17 at 1pm. Make sure to have them in by then.
We also have some other events next week!
- Monday: If you want to get a bit more reading done before the end of summer, consider this your opportunity! I will not be present, but the library is a great place for reading! Due to my absence, I guess this isn’t really an event anymore, but I’ll advertise it anyway.
- Thursday at 10:15am: Join us for story time! Yes, it counts for summer reading!
- Thursday at 3pm: It’s a crafting drop in! Come take advantage of our excessive amount of crafting supplies and create something awesome!
Hope to see you at the library!
Kaitlyn
